How to assemble the Ferrero Rocher Blondie:
Once you have made the blondie batter, pour the batter into the prepared pan, using a spatula smooth over the top to create an even layer.
In a small microwaveable bowl, microwave the Nutella for about 15 seconds or until soft but not liquid. Dollop spoonful's of the Nutella all over the top of the blondie. Using a wooden skewer, create swirls in the mixture.
Place the Ferrero Rocher halves gently on top of the blondie, pressing them slightly into the blondie batter to ensure they adhere securely.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool fully in the pan. Remove from the pan, slice into as many pieces as you like and enjoy!
Baking Tips:
Melted butter: I prefer melting the butter rather than creaming my butter and sugar as it helps give the blondies a buttery soft taste. Don’t forget to let your butter cool before using it though or else you might end up scrambling your eggs!
Line your baking pan: I highly recommend greasing and lining your baking pan with parchment paper this simple step ensures that your baked goods come out smoothly and without sticking to the pan, saving you time and effort in cleaning up afterwards.
Don’t over mix: This technique of stirring the batter only until it is just mixed is crucial for maintaining a tender and moist crumb in your baked goods. When I am preparing the batter, I typically transition to using a rubber spatula to carefully fold all the ingredients together until there are no longer any visible streaks of flour.
Don’t over-bake: To ensure a soft, fudgy center, it's crucial not to overbake the blondies. The key is to bake them until the top feels set and a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Remember, they may seem a bit soft initially, but they will definitely firm up as they cool down in the pan.
